DuPont Refinish has introduced the next generation of the DuPont Refinish ChromaVision® spectrophotometer - an essential tool for all refinishers to enable perfect colour matching.
DuPont Refinish ChromaVision® II includes an extended hardware offering in response to refinishers’ valuable feedback, including:
- A new USB connection port. This has been added so refinishers can make the connection between the tool and a computer more easily and more quickly
- A Bluetooth adapter, meaning refinishers can now carry out first-class colour matching repairs without the inconvenience of being surrounded by wires and cables – a health and safety nightmare in any bodyshop
- A wrist strap has been added for extra security when using the tool
- The optimisation of the calibration kit. In addition to the black and white tiles used, DuPont Refinish has now included a similar green tile, in place of the green cardboard used previously, to check the tool’s lamp is working absolutely accurately. Both the white and green tiles have now been consolidated into one convenient box.
Refinishers can still expect excellent colour matching with the DuPont Refinish ChromaVision® II as neither the advanced technology nor the measuring technique has changed.
Operating the spectrophotometer is quite simple: the easy-to-use tool has to be placed on the vehicle, at three different points near the damaged area. The spectrophotometer is held to the car surface as usual, where it takes readings of the colour from three patented DuPont angles. When linked to a computer with the appropriate colour matching software, such as ColorQuick Pro or ColorNet® Pro, the colour matching formula will be displayed in the quality needed.

The new ChromaVision® II spectrophotometer, the natural evolution of the first generation tool, is now available with the matching software. As an extra benefit, ChromaVision® II includes a sturdy cover with shoulder strap. The cover fits the spectrophotometer exactly and offers excellent protection against dirt and paint splashes, so that it is ready to use and in good condition.
